After storing our luggage we took the bus to the airport (this time leaving the correct one and a half hours for the trip). Our flight went fine and we got through customs easily. We flew in to Dublin. Here are some pictures of when we first got in.
We got lost trying to find the hostel. We walked around for 30-45 minutes trying to find it. The hostel had one big perk and one small one: free internet and a not very good breakfast. The breakfast was still a perk because even though it was lousy and had no oatmeal it was still free food. Most hostels don't provide breakfast.
This was our first night in a hostel and we found out some things. First of all at a lot of hostels in Ireland (maybe other places too) there are not single-sex rooms. Secondly hostels are not too quiet. Our room had about 8 people in it and someone was always going in or out. I was really, really glad of my sleepsack (basically two sheets sewn together on the sides). It was decently clean but not clean enough, especially the bathroom. All in all the hostel was definitely not great but it was not awful and the other people in our room were nice if a bit noisy.
By the time we had found the hostel and checked in it was about six or seven o'clock. Amy and I took a walk around. The hostel was in a good location. We got to see a little bit but not a tons as most things were closed for the night. We did take some pictures. I got two of Amy doing what she did the entire trip nonstop.
