Days 9 - 10 - In The Dorms On My Own

I spent the last couple days staying in the dorms at University of Edinburgh and exploring the city. I had never stayed in a university dorm before. I stayed in Turner hall. The above picture is of my hall. It was not very nice but it was not crowded either. My room was way bigger than I thought a dorm room would be and it even had a sink! It was on the fifth floor. Here are how many stairs I had to climb everytime I forgot my coat.
Here are a couple of pictures of the inside of the room. Unfortunately it is a bit of a mess but at least you can get some idea of the size.




I walked all the way up the Royal Mile to Edinburgh Castle one day. I didn't go in though. I also searched out as many used bookstores as I could find. I found several. I started walking one morning and was going to just take a little walk but instead I got a little lost trying to find the used bookstores. I ended up walking for about 12 hours. I did manage to find about five used bookstores. None of them really struck me though. I was a bit disappointed. One thing I did find that was nice though is that there are tons of charity shops. They are everywhere! There are a couple that are charity bookstores. I rather liked them. One thing that struck me about all of them though is that none have close to the quantity of books that Magus does.

Today I went to meet Amy at the airport. I took the city bus. I was told it was about a half hour ride. It wasn't. It was a one and a half hour ride! Still, it all worked out.
