Getting to Scotland and Day 1

I took a 6am flight out of Seatac on Saturday the 23rd. The plane landed in JFK in New York about 6.5 hours later. The trip was not too bad. Afterward I had a 7 hour layover. It seemed really long. JFK does not have wireless internet. My second flight was alright, I slept a little bit.

I landed in Edinburgh at 10:30 am on Sunday. Karen and her friends Eileen and Fraser met me at the airport. After sorting out my suitcase (the airline broke the wheels off) all of us got in Karen's car and left for Dundee. After about an hour we arrived at Eileen and Fraser's son's apartment. We spent the day with their son Martin, his girlfriend, their son Mark, his wife Jenni and Mark and Jenni's son Joshua. They were all very, very nice. Unfortunately I was so tired by this point that by the afternoon I kept almost falling asleep. I felt so rude! They all knew that I had not slept for the last two nights though...

Unfortunately I only have two pictures from this day. Mark and Jenni took Karen and I up to the highest spot in the city so we could see the view. The picture on the top is the view from one side. The picture to the left is Karen and I in front of the view of the other side.

In the evening Karen and I drove to Lauder to the bed and breakfast she was staying in.
